RSSPanorama Gent
U wil gans Gent zien, maar heeft eigenlijk geen tijd om bijvoorbeeld een ganse dag door de binnenstad te kuieren? Dan is het panorama dat sinds zaterdag op het middenplein van De Cirk in de Zebrastraat te bezichtigen is misschien iets voor u.
U vindt in het panorama de meest verscheiden dingen terug. Niet alleen zaken over het hedendaagse Gent, maar ook referenties naar het Gentse verleden. Het panorama werd gemaakt door een aantal studenten van de Academie. Zij baseerden zich dan weer op teksten die geschreven werden door een aantal studenten vertalers/tolk van de Hogeschool Gent.
De teksten kaderden in het project Steden, studenten onderweg . Daarbij namen de studenten elkaar mee op een parcours door Gent. De opgedane indrukken werden nadien in teksten verwerkt. Een aantal van deze teksten zijn ook daadwerkelijk verwerkt in het panorama. Bijvoorbeeld de tekst van de ons niet onbekende Luc De Vos die als peter voor het project optrad.
De concrete uitwerking van het panorama in de Zebrastraat door de studenten van de Academie nam nadien zo’n 3 weken in beslag. U kan de foto’s van daarvan bekijken op de website van de Hogeschool Gent.
Zonder onszelf tot ultieme kunstkenners te willen uitroepen, is de uitwerking van het panorama geslaagd te noemen. Het panorama bevat een aantal leuke verrassende details en geeft ook een aantal goed herkenbare situaties. Over de technische kant van zaken spreken we ons niet uit, maar ook dat lijkt dik in orde. Enfin, indien u wat vrije minuten heeft, loont het zeker de moeite om het panorama eens te gaan bekijken.
Panorama Gent is nog tot 11 juli gratis te bezichtigen op het middenplein van De Cirk in de Zebrastraat. Meer informatie over het project vindt u bij de Hogeschool Gent.
