RSSYevgueni in Fnac Forum
Om 14.00 uur zaterdagmiddag trad Yevgueni op in het Forum van Fnac Gent. We waren er ongeveer een kwartiertje op voorhand en toen al was duidelijk dat het niet al te grote zaaltje van de Fnac afgeladen vol zou zitten.
Stipt op tijd begon de groep met hun set, voornamelijk nummers uit de nieuwe CD We zijn hier nu toch, en één oudje, Robbie 2.
Luna (8) en Killian (10) waren best onder de indruk toen ze de jongens van Yevgueni in levende lijve zagen. Zeker Luna: toen de bassist vriendelijk knikte naar haar was ze er op slag helemaal weg van. Dat moet je Yevgueni trouwens nageven, ze zijn ongelofelijk sympathiek naar hun publiek toe.
In tegenstelling tot het optreden van vorige maand in de AB was dit concert veel intimistischer en eenvoudiger in zijn opzet. Daarom was het zeker niet minder goed. Eén aspect was zelfs beter: ze gaven nu en dan meer uitleg bij het opzet van een nummer, waardoor het op slag veel meer diepgang en betekenis kreeg.
Een tof concertje. We blijven ze zeker in het oog houden.
